Christmas in Arochukwu is always more of a cultural celebration than a religious one. The ancient kingdom each December attracts indigenes and visitors who are treated to an eye popping traditional display and unadulterated culture, as each of the 19 villages and different age grades on pre-specified days take turns to display the rich cultural repertoire of the Aros. I hardly miss the youthfulness of the Ekpo(masquerades),that's the Most exciting part of the holidays! The hospitality and exciting nature of Arochukwu made it fun for me and my siblings to visit.
The hospitality of the people of Aro is the envy of many,and i am indeed proud that my Momma is from there...continue to see pictures of the Masquerades that makes every seasonal period worthwhile
